狼和小羊（中英）

導讀：狼和小羊的故事出自伊索寓言——狼和小羊碰巧同時到一條小溪邊喝水。狼找各種藉口想要吃小羊的故事。

狼來到小溪邊，看見小羊正在那兒喝水。

狼非常想吃小羊，就故意找碴兒，說：“你把我喝的水弄髒了!你安的什麼心?”

小羊吃了一驚，溫和地說：“我怎麼會把您喝的水弄髒呢?您站在上游，水是從您那兒流到我這兒來的，不是從我這兒流到您那兒去的。”

狼氣沖沖地說：“就算這樣吧，你總是個壞傢伙!我聽說，去年你在背地裡說我的壞話!”

可憐的小羊喊道：“啊，親愛的狼先生，那是不會有的事，去年我還沒有生下來吶!”

狼不想再爭辯了，齜著牙，逼近小羊，大聲嚷道：“你這個小壞蛋!說我壞話的不是你就是你爸爸，反正都一樣。”說著就往小羊身上撲去

The wolf and the lamb

Once upon a time a Wolf was lapping at a spring on a hillside, when, looking up, what should he see but a Lamb just beginning to drink a little lower down. ‘There’s my supper,’ thought he, ‘if only I can find some excuse to seize it.’ Then he called out to the Lamb, ‘How dare you muddle the water from which I am drinking?’

‘Nay, master, nay,’ said Lambikin; ‘if the water be muddy up there, I cannot be the cause of it, for it runs down from you to me.’

‘Well, then,’ said the Wolf, ‘why did you call me bad names this time last year?’

‘That cannot be,’ said the Lamb; ‘I am only six months old.’

‘I don’t care,’ snarled the Wolf; ‘if it was not you it was your father;’ and with that he rushed upon the poor little Lamb and ate her all up. But before she died she gasped out .’Any excuse will serve a tyrant
