三則故事寓言
幼兒往往能理解寓言故事的情節,但對其中的深刻寓意卻往往難以理解,下面這些是小編為大家推薦的幾篇三則故事寓言。
三則故事寓言1:The Lion, The Bear And The Fox
Long ago a lion and a bear saw a kid. They sprang upon1 it at the same time. The lion said to the bear, "I caught this kid first, and so this is mine."
"No, no," said the bear. "I found it earlier than you, so this is mine." And they fought long andfiercely2. At last both of them got very tired and could no longer fight.
A fox who hid himself behind a tree not far away and was watching the fight between the lion and the bear, came out and walked in between them, and ran off(逃跑) with the kid.
The lion and the bear both saw the fox, but they could not even catch the fox.
The lion said to the bear, "We have fought for nothing. That sly3 fox has got the kid away."
三則故事寓言2:The Cobbler and the Banker
A cobbler(補鞋匠,工匠) passed his time in singing from morning till night; it was wonderful to see, wonderful to hear him; he was more contented in shoes, than was any of the sevensages. his neighbor, on the contrary, who was rolling in wealth, sung but little and slept less. He was a banker; when by chance he fell into a doze at day-break, the cobbler awoke him with his song.
The banker complained sadly that providence had not made sleep a saleable(暢銷的)commodity, like edibles or drinkables. Having at length sent for the songster, he said to him, "how much a year do you earn, master gregory?" "how much a year, sir?"said the merry cobbler laughing, "I have reckon in that way, living as I do from one day to another; somehow I manage to reach the end of the year; each day brings its meal." "Well then! how much a day do you earn, my friend?""Sometimes more, sometimes less; but the worst of it is, and, without that ourearnings would be very tolerable, a number of days occur in the year on which we are forbidden to work; and the curate, moreover, is constantly adding some new saint to the list." the banker, laughing at his simplicity, said, "in the future I shall place you above want. Take this hundred crowns, preserve them carefully, and make use of them in time of need."
The cobbler fancied he beheld all the wealth which the earth had produced in the past century for the use of mankind. Returning home, he buried his money and his happiness at the same time, no more singing; he lost his voice, the moment he acquired that which is the source of so much grief. Sleep quitted his dwelling; and cares, suspicions, and false alarms took its place, all day, his eye wandered in the direction of his treasure; and at night, if some stray(迷路的)cat made a noise, the cat was robbing him. At length the poor man ran to the house of his rich neighbor: "give me back."said he, "Sleep and my voice, and take your hundred crowns."
三則故事寓言3:The old cat
An old woman had a cat. The cat was very old. She could not run quickly, and she could not bite, because she was so old.
One day the old cat saw a mouse. She jumped and caught the mouse. But she could not bite it, so the mouse got out of her mouth and ran away, because the cat could not bite it.
Then the old woman became very angry because the cat had not killed the mouse. She began to hit the cat. The cat said, "Do not hit your old servant. I have worked for you for many years, and I would work for you still, but I am too old. Do not be unkind to the old, but remember what good work the old did when they were young."
